I have read this entire thread and they said it took a WHILE to get the credit back after the return.

I think thaking had that issue, but not sure if others have had that problem or not.

Plan B.

sell the one you are getting through the CLP. I'm sure someone on this forum would love to pick up a refurb 7D cheaper than a new one. I'm sure you could get back all of your money.

here, PM this guy: https://photography-on-the.net …p?p=11290601#post11290601

Just as an update, I called last night and explained the situation. The rep corrected my last name and within the hour the order status changed to warehoused. This morning I received the tracking number, so all's well thus far!

Call them up. I expect you'll have pay extra (Sat delivery is a special service with fedex/ups/etc I believe).

I don't believe so.

I think someone asked that question before, and Canon told them it was not possible unless they wanted to buy the body directly from their eStore. only then could you get 1 day shipping...of course you don't get the 20% discount.

I called them and they said that overnight is available but not Saturday delivery. She also wasn't sure of the cutoff as far as shipping out the same day.

I believe it's either 12PM or 1PM as to when the cutoff date for same day shipping. can't remember if it's EST or Central though

Frustrated now. I called to order my 7D and gave the woman my shipping address as my billing and my billing as my shipping. She corrected it but not before it put a pre-authorize on my card. When she fixed it and tried to charge it it was over the limit because of the first pre-authorize. After talking to the bank I have to wait until 6am tomorrow for the charge to drop off so I can place the order again. Arghh

The bank told me that Canon should be able to go ahead and make the charge. I called Canon back and told them that talking to a different person and giving them my order #. After a few seconds she said that her computer was telling her that it was paid and that my order was going to be shipped. I told her about the previous person telling me that it wouldn't go through and she checked again and said that it showed nothing was due and that the order was being shipped out today. So who knows. lol

Is there somewhere online I can check status with my order #?

they should email you a login for the Canon site where you can track the status of your order.
