I inherited a Simone Fernando Sacconi Cello in about 1975 when I was in High School. The cello was made in 1933 for and played by my father's uncle, Rosalini DeMaria, who played for the Boston Symphony. I got the instrument because after he passed away I was the only one in the family who played the cello. I am getting it appraised and as a precursor to the appraisal, the appraiser asked me to send him some photo's. This is apparently a rare musical instrument, possibly with some historical value as Simone was better know for making violins, and was the farmost expert in duplicating and repairing musical instruments made by the famous Stradivarius.
