GenoDM and I had a blast at this wedding in Furry Creek, BC. And as he pointed out, hiring him is a hell of a lot cheaper than renting lenses since he gave me free reign to raid his fast primes (a brand new 24LII that never seemed to leave one of his cameras, a new 50/1.2, and the 85L).

I will grudgingly admit it up front, after finally getting to use the 85L... well damn. I'm sorry for every thread where I ever acted like this lens was overrated. The sharpness at 1.2 was as good as my old 85/1.8 at f/2 or f/2.2. (#3, 4, 6, 7 are with his 85L, 8 with his 50L, others with my Sigma 50 and 16-35 and 70-200)

Thanks Eddie & Poteat!

The armpit frame was an experiment; who knows if it worked? For me it did, maybe not for you :P You shoot enough "girls getting makeup put on" and you start looking for something different to do with it. I appreciate the feedback!

Despite the pouring rain we all had a lot of fun on the shoot. We've got another one this weekend that looks like will be another wet one.

Love the shots from both of you! But I must say Geno! I love the moment you captured in the first picture I quoted and I have done a very similar picture as the second one I quoted. It's a cool and fun picture!!

Thanks, Jenn. You know, happy people smiling is really all it's about, isn't it?

That is exactly what it is supposed to be all about... And at times... I think all involved in a wedding from the bride to the wedding planner sometimes lose sight of that fact... getting themselves lost in the details... and the 'perfect-ness' of the day...
