Not sure if this is the right place to post this? Came across this at a local vintage photo shop. Thinking about picking it up? Maybe use it to display my lenses when not in use?

I see no practical use for it. Your lenses are better off in a camera bag.

It's undoubtedly a display prop for retail stores.
It would be great for displaying your lenses under ideal lighting conditions,
though I see no practical use for it outside of a retail setting.

For the desk...one place for Canon 25-105 mug, one place for Canon 70-200 cup, one place for paper clips, one place for rubber bands -- or maybe one place for an old Sigma lens whose chip cannot be upgraded for use on a newer Canon dSLR body...with glass removed so it becomes a pencil and pen cup.

The other thing too is, its a SIGMA unit and Im a CANON only kinda guy. So I couldnt even use it to uh "display" my lenses as it would look funny with a bunch of Canon lenses in a Sigma stand.

Add to that the fact that I'd probably never WANT to display my lenses, and yea, there becomes no reason to own this...
