Can't believe it I just ordered the 70-200 2.8 II

Can't wait until I can shoot my grandkids football games this will be the big test and I am sure it will kick the other 70-200's I have owned

I was looking at one of the review sites today and they compared it with the MKI at 2.8 and I am still finding hard to believe it;s so much better

You'll love it. I liked the original, but the II is amazing. I hope this is a trend for new Canon zooms. I'd love to see a 24-1?? 2.8 IS as good as the 70-200 II.

I got it last week and love it especially from f4.;)


Bodies: 5D MkIII/ Oly ED-M5/ G10
Lenses: Tamron SP 24-70 2.8 Di VC /and some Panny and Oly lenses.

Only reason you HAVE to go to f4 is for depth of field :). This thing is sharp as hell wide open

there has not been one bad report (that i can find)

everyone raves about this lens (and for that price i should hope so)

i think i might sell my 24-70 , my 70-200F4 and a Body (camera, not mine. i doubt i would get very much for my body)
