Can anyone confirm if manual options are usable while shooting HD Video?

I'm also a flip screen fan (may even get lured into the reported flip-screen D60), but it takes up space.

I'm satisfied enough to get it. Anyone know the day it hits online and retail stores?

I was waiting until the HD video.

Diggin' it.

Thank you. bw!

THIS is the compact camera I've been waiting for. I always like the S90 but I find video very useful, so I never pulled the trigger. I'm glad I waited.

Ditto! In fact I ordered the s90 once and cancelled it because it wouldn't ship in time for a trip. Sweet!

the gap between prosumer and professional cameras is narrowing.

but there still is no 7d with a flip screen lcd and a full frame sensor.

=0 that being said, i STILL use my canon s5 IS

DigitalRev posted a quick hands-on preview video of the new S95.

There's a little snippet of the s95's 720p footage in there.

They just had to leave 1080P off the S95 to force another upgrade cycle. Why, oh why, do you hate me Canon. This would otherwise be perfect for my trip.

So this retains the same S90/G11 sensor correct? I recently purchased the G11 after comparing it (in use ) to the S90. However, 720P video is what the G11 is missing.

+1. But I don't think I can wait a year. Going in for this one.

Considering S90 is $300 now I'm debating if the 720P is worth the premium. I'm also curious as to when these will hit the shelves.

I think 720p is worth it, because nobody would buy a video camera anymore that wasn't HD.

Do they even sell non-HD video cameras anymore?

Thank you. bw!

I'm a flip screen fan as well, but I think on S95 sized cams it makes less sense. I was really hoping we might see it on the SX130, but we did not. Not sure why Canon, and everyone else, I think, doesn't think flip screens have any value except is superzoom category.
