Was wodnering if anyone could suggest some 'not to miss' locations on the South Island that provide some great landscape photography opportunities?

I arrive mid September for a week's work on the North Island followed by a week's holiday on the South Island.

Thanks.

Hi, the South Island is great for this work. Central Otago is a good area, which is close to Queenstown. Wanaka just over the hill is good as is the drive into Milford Sound from Te Anau. The McKenzie basin around Tekapo, and Lake Pukaki, with Mt Cook are also graet on a calm day. On the west coast you have the Glaciers, which provide good shooting.

All these spots are in the southern south island. If you are looking specificly around Queenstown then I'd recommend the Remarkable range. At the top of Lake Wakitipu you also have an area called Paradise. There is also Skippers, which is an old gold mining seattlement.

Hope this is of some use.
