OK, I might not be the brightest blonde in the block, but I'm wondering where Bloo Dog is? I miss his comments (and encouragements when it comes to wedding photography), so I wonder where he's hiding. Anyone know where he is? On vacation? Hiding? Banned? Have a date with that red-head maid of honor?

Where is he??!!

Looks like he is banned. Hopefully it is just temporary and he'll be back soon. I enjoy reading his stories and some of the techniques he shares.

Wow, Bloo's one of the most experienced and helpful people on POTN, it's a shame to see so much experience lost because of whatever got him banned.

Well, he got really nasty and started terrorizing Glamour forum and then giving really very bad responses to mods. All this is filed. Don't know why us having Glamour forum made him mad. I really like him and his posts and hate to see this have gotten this far, but fact is that this was the correct procedure. I'm willing to discuss it with him if he calms down and is ready to talk (my email is my first name @ this domain without www). Else the ban will go on.

Pekka, so it's a permanent ban unless he "calms down"? Do I dare asking in what way he "got nasty and started terrorizing" the Glamour forum? I've seen that he gave shorter comments, but that's about it.

Posting photos like http://img.photobucket.com …s/v217/BlooDog/BambiJ.jpg (external link) etc. There is something in Glamour that he REALLY dislikes and wants to "change". I would suggest to all in such situation just not to visit those offending forums.

ADDED: ban is just a switch in forum control panel. If it is permanent depends on how who is banned responds and can apologize. Bloo is a good member so he might get special treatment if he stands down on his fight. Second time will be less tolerant. Ball is on Bloo now.

Pekka, I don't mean to be rude or such, but I think it'd be interesting to get a better picture (pardon the pun) of what he's done to be banned. Not because it's him being banned (although I also will miss him if he won't be back), but from a forum user's pov. I'd like to know what it takes to get banned from POTN. Just so everyone here knows.

Claire: We do not want to reveal all the details as much of that would be considered personal and in respect to Bloo, that information will remain between himself and the POTN staff. We provide that respect and privacy for everyone here. We are working diligently to resolve this.

We have https://photography-on-the.net/forum/rules.php and in Glamour forum https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=91084

Those rules really simple, they mainly talk about things everyone knows. If you act against those rules and ignore, maybe then disagree and **** with mods how they are so wrong with their response/dealmaking PM's there is a good chance to get banned. Spammers and obvious troublemakers get banned right away (that is why you seldom see spam here), members will be talked to - I do not like to ban old friends, who would?

We also have IP ban possibility (firewall) for really troublesome repeat offenders - this means you won't even be able to see this domain. And in many cases I have IP banned IP blocks to block a company net account (depends of what else in that block).

Well I think that it is a sad event. Disagreement is part of communication. Ane open communication from members to mods to admins is important stuff. But Pekka has explained his position on the matter and I think that as members of this community we have to move forward past this matter and go on to support what is an excellent community.
