You have one of the best made 35mm SLRs. The camera used a 1.35V mercury battery that is no longer made. Looks like you have a flash bracket, several rails, a servo EE finder and battery pack, a Vivatar 283 or 285 thyristor flash, what appears to be an FD 50mm f/1.4 lens on the camera, an FD zoom lens, a cable release, a PC sync cord (no, not for a personal computer), some bananas, cherry tomatoes, flour, pepper and maybe some sugar.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

I have one of those bodies but haven't used it for years. As Tony said, it is one of the best 35mm units ever built by any manufacturer.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

When I started photography in '78 with an AE-1, I always lusted over an F1 (I think it was available then) and still have nostalgic moments even though I have a 1D 3 (no talent still) now.
There was something special about camera gear then that I do not think is the same today.
May be it was something out of my reach then.
Ho Hum.
Thank you for sharing.

I have the second version of that, the F1n. Still an impressive bit of machinery.

Nice! When I had my AE-1, I always wanted an F-1. I'll take it if you don't want it! ;)

Same for me: A few years after I bought my A-1 I wanted a F-1. Still thinking of buying one today. Whenever I see one for sale, i always have a look. But yesterday I got my insurance settlement for my old 40D and 1D. I got a brand new 1D MKIV, a 24-105mm and a 15mm.
When i opened the 1D box, I was thinking of way back when I wanted that F-1.

I think the viewfinder is the booster finder which amplifies the metering in low light. I bought my setup in Japan when they first came out and bought this finder, the low level finder and the sport finder. That was all they made at the time. As said, it is a tank.. You should be able to find some books that cover the original f-1 system. It was very extensive.
