Beautiful colors in the rocks and clouds, just one question why are all the trees leaning so far to the right? were they squashed by an avalanche?

Really great image!

+1 on request for exact location. I live in Alpine, WY - so, I'm right in the neighborhood.

For another view of Wyoming Range, see my post:

The beginner clicks the shutter and says "Let's see what I got." ... The experienced photographer thinks "How can I capture what I see?"

Thanks for the comments. CalebG, that's lens distortion from a wide angle lens combined with the way that hill is sloped. Can't fix it any further in ps without blobbing the rest of the image or cropping down too far. One of those compromise things. ;]

HQP and GJim, this is Box Canyon in the Wyoming Range. It's only about a 3 mile hike, but what an interesting hike it is. Here's a link to the hike (external link) on summitpost. I'm a bit so so on sharing this info as it's such a quiet and secluded area, but GJim is from Alpine, so what the hell. We did not see a single person our three days up there. Totally rad! Keep in mind there are tons of road washouts in this area right now so have a talk with a ranger and find out what's going on. We spent half the day on jeep trails trying to get to this via La Barge as a portion of the road are washed out and being repaired.

Ahh, I should also mention that we found bear sign in the area, so come prepared. Also there are moose here, so keep your distance unless you want whomp stomped.
