Is it possible in LR2 to export a slide show so that it can be played back using a DVD player ??

I have been asked to do a background slideshow during a football (soccer) teams prize giving. No sound required.

Any ideas or suggestions gratefully accepted.

I have been able to export these to video from lightroom 2 ( and now LR3 ) in 1080 resolution for my HDTV and have been very disappointed. The transitions were very, very messy.

That being said, yes, you can export as a video and then burn that video to a DVD if you'd like. I may try the standard definition export --> DVD this afternoon to see if the transition issues are fixed.

Best of luck. Let me know what you find, especially if you have issues with the crossfades between photos.

Ive had good success with "ProShow Gold" Its transitions are very smooth and clean. They have a free trail version available for download at their site. Just make sure you crop and resize the pics to the same dimensions are the monitor you plan to use.Files can be exported to dvd. Try it out! You'll like it. Not too expensive if you end up purchasing the software.
