Why are my photos came out to be around 4.15+MB(not pixels) when my Canon EOS 50D has 15.1 Megapixels?
ps. I shoot them both in JPG and RAW.

First you aren't confusing megapixels and megabytes are you? Second the quality setting on the .jpg will change the megapixel count. As will using sraw instead of raw. Where are you finding the 4.15 megapixel count?

Sounds to me OP's suffering from excessive sun-exposure and confused the two. Time to ease up on that tan. ke ke ke. ;)

Sounds like you're viewing the embedded jpg contained within the Raw file. Process the Raw file using Canon's DPP software, or Photoshop or Lightroom, then see how many pixels there are.

Still, a full size raw from a 50D should be around 13-15mb. Sounds like the OP is shooting sRaw...

It's easy to make a mistake, just like m=milli, but M=mega.

Pretty small files, hahahaha... :)
