Hi,

I've purchased a used filter that was described as Hoya multi-coated circular polarizer. However, I think I received the "Standard" filter and not the "HMC" version, but I am not 100% certain, can you help me? I don't want to accuse the seller of something if it is my misunderstanding.

Attached is a picture of some of my Hoya filters. They all either say "HMC" or "HMC Super". However the item in question does not say that (circled in red).

Did Hoya always label "HMC" for multi-coated filters including PL-CIR type?

It looks like if it is HMC, it should say it. Here is an image that I found on the Internet.

I hope that you have a way to get a total refund because you've been fleeced.

Agree with SkipD about the deal being invalid for the misrepresentation, as it is not a multicoated filter from Hoya.
