Looking for suggestions on IP based surveillance cameras for use in a house.
I have a friend who has had 'uninvited guests" help themselves to their beach house this summer. Apparently, someone has stayed in the house on several occasions during the summer. Nothing malicious beyond a little missing beer and possibly some peanuts.
I suggested that they install IP based security cameras which could send an email alert once motion is detected. They like this idea and wanted to include a "surf" cam to be able to check beach conditions and current weather by remotely accessing the camera.
Beyond knowing these things exist, I have no real experience with them. So I thought I would solict opinions, suggetions, and experience here before I guess at a solution
If it helps here is some criteria:
1. Low/med resoultion.
2. No PTZ required.
3. Wireless IP preferred.
4. Remote access
5. Looking for two cameras, both mounted inside. One looking outside at beach, the other looking at the main living room.
6. Motion activated.
