Nice shots.. The light is good, I especially like the dramatic effect of the one with the building.
The dress and belt are awful! and the poor model looks like she has a kink in her neck; in just about every picture her head is cocked to the side (in one it goes to the other side) and her expression is nearly identical on about half of them.
Everything else is very good!

I like her relaxed expressions, it's natural and so is her smile.
Great job with keeping her eyes in focus, looks like you shot really wide open b/c of the nice bokeh. What aperture?

Sweet! I love the location choices, especially under the flowers. Was this all natural lighting?

@hairy_moth: Thanks! I do agree with you on the kink in her neck haha I was having a hard time with that she would not stop doing it. I tried posing her in defferent way, but she would end up going back to that pose. It may seem a little more exagerated in this post as I think there were maybe 5 more pics where she was like that out of the 40 I gave back to her. Thank you for all your critiques!

@pnmd: Thank you! I think I shot most of them between 1.8-2.2 on my 50 1.4 and I think all were wide open on my 85mm 1.8

@charro callado: all were natural lighting except for the one in front of the building with columns that was b1600 through 60" westcott high and camera right at about 3/4ths power.

*slaps forehead* Yes, I can see now that's pretty obvious from the color temp/shadow on that one . The light is just a little hot on the face but otherwise really great job. I'd be happy to get these if she were my kid.

looks like she has a permanent head tilt. i'd say work on her expressions, and also the lit one seems a little over exposed. I like the composition on the pink flower ones tho.

Hmmmm, time to recalibrate my monitor? Her face looks hot in nearly all the images. At the very least there seems to be a color shift on the face in all but the last couple.

I do agree with the need for some more variety in the expression.

Hi Josh,

I don't have a problem with her head tilt, as you have already described this is a side of her personality, and if she is mostly comfortable with that head position, then it certainly works!

But I must say I love your imagery!!! Did you do anything in post, and if you did, would you be happy to share?

These to me are truly beautiful. Thanks for the inspiration...

ken

I really like numbers 4 and 8, she seems very comfortable in front of the camera
