sand in G7 lens/zoom...what to do?

Hello -

The zoom on my G7 is busted due to sand...

I am ready to move onto the G12, but my quesiton is this...

Is the G7 worth anything in parts?

Can it be fixed cheap?

What can I do with it?

Maybe your camera would qualify under the Canon Loyalty program, return it for a better price on another camera (?)
