Hello!
I just wanted to share with you a grand purchase I made off eBay.
User: pmidigital was offering new 5D Mark IIs for $2398, less than the Canon USA store was going to charge me for a new one (sales tax in CA) and just more than Adorama's refurbished models, which were out of stock. Not TOO big of a discount, but I was looking to buy new rather than refurbished to get the most out of a longer warranty period.

Anyways, I looked up the feedback and reviews from the net and carried on with the purchase. Today, a brand new 5D Mark II arrived at my house after very quick shipping.

Add pmidigital to the list of trustable eBay sellers for cameras!

Yep, PMI digital is great. I often buy from them if I do ebay store... I combine ebay bucks and Mrrebates to get an even sweeter deal. (PM for details on how to combine both rebate programs together).

Thanks,
David

Do what everyone else does in NY when they're sick of the taxes - move to another state. :p

I don't see PMI Digital in the Authorized Canon Dealers list, did you get a USA warranty or was it gray market

PMI is an authorized dealer. You will find them listed under Profeel. The items they sell on eBay is Canon USA gear.

They are an authorized dealer. I bought my last two canons from them. You get a regular sales receipt from Profeel (the parent company) which works for warrenty repair and it is USA gear

I had a good experience with them as well. I bought a 5D2 body and it came in a kit box without the lens. I said I wasn't comfortable with someone opening the box and removing items, etc. The customer service person said someone in their shipping department unilaterally decided to do that (I don't know if that's true or not) and that it's not their policy to do that. But they offered a partial refund which I accepted. Great service!
