OK, I have an Epson Artisan 50 and I am fuming right now because I'm trying to print out an invoice for someone to reimburse me and my stupid Epson won't print in BLACK ONLY because I'm out of a couple of colors of ink. Epson's website says that [paraphrased] to keep the ink heads clear, a little of each color is used every time you print. BS! I am so enraged right now I am ordering a new printer RIGHT NOW!
So, before I fall into the same trap, is the same crap true for Canon printers? Any owners of either the 9000 mkII or the Pixma 4700 can positively confirm 100% that their printer will print in black if the colors are empty?
Thank you and sorry in advance for the 'yelling'.
