I have read a couple tutorials and have my actions setup and was gonna begin batch processing in photoshop CS5 but when I go to click ok I get an error message saying that I have not specified an extension for the file? could someone clarify this for me and what it is, I am not doing correctly?

Thanks

Are you doing this through Image Processor or as a stand-alone action?

Batch processing is a generic term. Are you using ACR, actions, or the actual batch command? What are you trying to achieve, big picture? You need to give us way more detail than your cryptic posts so far.

well like i said. i'm new to this. i am using actions that i have created in photoshop to do basic things such as sharpening, removing noise, and resizing in photoshop CS5. when i go to automate > batch i select the origin folder and the destination folder and then put the name extension in like i'm supposed to. but when i click ok i get an error message telling me i have not specified an extension for the files. i hope this helps. if not i can take screen shots. thanks

I haven't had that error message before. You can do most things in a RAW converter, then just resize using the image processor, which is very simple to use.
