Lani's knee surgery

Lani had knee surgery last week for a completely torn ACL. The cost of the surgery was $4,000 which meant my camera gear had to be sold. I replaced everything with an old 1D for $360 and kept my broken 50mm.

What a cutie. With a face like that, how can you be upset. Selling all that must have stung quite a bit but she looks pretty happy to me!

She actually hates the cone with a passion. She was just happy to be out of the crate and in the sun. She has to be confined for a couple weeks while the bow attaches to the plate. So far, she has escaped from her crate twice and left the cone behind. We now have to chain the gates shut because she figured out how to open them enough to squeeze out.

Glad you had your priorities right. Good on you for doing the right thing by your girl. I hope the camera fairy rewards you for your sacrfice.
