I have just bought LR3 and am running Windows 7.I have an Epson R1800 that I can only get to work on my old XP machine (running LR 1.3). What would be the best way to work on the images in LR3 and print from the old XP/LR 1.3 computer? They are not networked. Has anyone done this?

I think you would have to export them as tifs from LR 3 and then import the tifs to LR 1. LR 1 won't read the LR 3 catalog and even if it could read it, it can't apply LR 3 processing. I would suggest exporting the tif in Prophoto RGB space, so that the conversion to RGB would be minimal, and then let LR 1 do the color managing.
