Hi, I have an EOS 7D.
Recently I've noticed two vertical blue/gray lines on my display. I haven't used the camera much, so not sure if it was there before or what.

Lines are there primarily in review mode, but not if there is the histogram and other info. Lines are there when I use the screen to take pics from.
They lines are not there when you zoom in, in any capacity. Nor are they on the images themselves.
The lines do not appear when in CA or Full Auto mode. I thought it might be because those modes use JPG, but I switched my P mode to JPG and it still appeared. This makes me think I have a newb setting somewhere, but not sure.

Firmware is 1.2.2, although I only upgraded from 1.2.1 to see if that would help. Nope.
I tried different lenses. Still there.

So is there something I'm just not remembering in the manual or do I need to contact Canon about this? Thanks

Ugh, after googling for an hour and checking support forums, I did another dive down in the settings. I think it is the F IV - Add Aspect Ratio Information.
I don't ever remember turning this on. :/

Mods feel free to delete, or keep it for newb posterity.

Exactly. You can tell the camera that you want a reference for what an image with a different aspect ratio would look like. So if you know you'll print or display the image in another format, you can get the framing right for that already in the camera.
