Well, I just got back this evening from a 4 day weekend at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI this weekend for the American Le Mans Series.

As my first time at panning shots, I think I did alright, but let me know what you think.

Nice, still a little motion blur on some but you're almost there. Great imagery.

Cheers,
Mark.

hi CamDiver
second and last the best , try keep front of the car in focus looks better and picture
clean shoot with out some white signs adverts.

Just practice practice and practice.

Try with longer lens is easy at the beginning.
If you will learn you can go close really close.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Unfortunately the white signs were almost unavoidable as I couldn't get past the spectator fence, I guess I'm not cool enough :p

I was using a 28-135mm for these, not as much reach as I'd like, but it's the longest lens I have

Third rally car (red) - right rear flat tire? Then the next one (orange car) - I love the thumbs up the co-driver is giving!

Yes, when learning - use your longest lens. As you get in tighter, your subject is moving faster and it gets much harder.

I love Road America - never shot there though. One of these days.

hi .Davis.
loos ok.
my first practice was siting in the park for 2 hours and try take pictures of slow driving cars.

just try , and try take shoot if the car is next to you or driving on you looks better , this last samples are ok just to far .

you can try panning everything , the most easy are cars :)
