thanks folks...I`m this close to getting a macro lens, just have to decide which. When I was taking these pics I could feel the webs touching me as I was moving around while looking through the view finder and more than once coulda swore one of these bad boys was crawling on me...creepy. What is it about spiders that freaks so many people out I wonder.
Took some more today at the same place...

Did the top side of your spider look like this? If so, it's called a Golden Orb Weaver. Non-poisonous and awesome spiders.
