She is a cute little girl and you've got some beautiful lighting happening here.. One thing, when photographing young children, is that they don't know how to smile on command. You can get a natural smile from a child by making them laugh. Her hands are chopped off in the photo, be careful when framing so that chops don't occur at the joint.

I agree with Lori. The smile is not natural and doesn't seem right. Make the child giggle/laugh, then snap the shot.

Too often parents tell their child "say cheese" or "smile" and it comes out very unnatural.

Lighting is good. Maybe try to "warmify" the photo a bit.

i have a three year old, and I love the posed smile...obviously not all the time, but I think it's funny. Nice lighting!

lighting on this shot is nice just work on a more natural smile

As a baby ( and youngsters) photographer I used to carry soap bubble liquid and a bubble wand. Kids seem to automatically watch the bubbles and smile beautifully.
