I would have thought it was window light until you told us otherwise. Nice job.

It's interesting with the shadow area behind her head. It almost has a "turning from darkness to light" look to it. Was the shadow intended, or did it just happen with the lighting of the backdrop?

I like it a lot. great colour, nice light. Maybe could light background more evenly?

The shadow area behind her head wasnt really intended. I considered editing it in photoshop but I decided to keep it because I feel that I would prefer to improve my lighting technique in the first place rather than try to correct it later on in post editing. Its something I'm practising alot with right now.

I actually think the lighting effect you've got there works really well. Intended or not :D

She is striking. I especially like the intense look on her face and the strength of her pose. The light effect adds very nicely to this.

Suggestions: be mindful of bra straps and have her turn her head a bit more towards you to show more of the far eye (include the iris of her eye). To get a bigger (more natural) catch-lights in her eyes, try a reflector (or a strobe fired through an umbrella, or a softbox - don't know what equipment you have).

Good work though. BTW, are you AM? :)

Thanks Athena, I think I really could use a softbox and I'm hoping to get one soon to improve my setup. 'AM' are my initials by the way. ;)
