Thinking of sending my kit in for a 2 year old overhaul/clean/calibration.

Anybody know what the cost of cleaning and calibrating out-of-warranty kit is?

All my kit is going in at some point, even if it's just for AF calibration (7D) or cleaning of the front element & calibration (70-200).

Will give them a call but i'd like a rough idea of what the bank should be expecting :p

Cheers guys :)

Trying to get any sense from Canon @ Elstree is like trying to push water uphill with fork, I call them to enquire for the price on a general service on a 1Ds, all I could from them was they had not idea because they did not know what parts were needed, I kept try to tell them no parts were needed, I just wanted a gereral service like youself, in the end I gave up because the person on the other end could not grasp what I wanted, they could not even quote a labour rate per hour!!!!!, and of course when you asked to speak to a manager to try and get some sense - wait for it!!! - guess what!!!, no manager was in, heard that before somewere.

Good luck.
