This goes hand in hand with the tractor pull I attended earlier this year. :lol:

I love the 5th shot with the crash in the background.

Amazingly there was only the one incident all day. Shot 6 is the next in the action. And it did raise some ire amongst the drivers.

Haven't been to a tractor pull but if I was in charge of scheduling I would have put the lawn mower races BEFORE the bathtub races (external link).

I guess I missed this post when I put up my lawn mower races pictures, and said that I hadn't seen any of them here. Your shots are a lot better than mine; I missed the carnage shots.


Gripped 7D, gripped, full-spectrum modfied T1i (500D), SX50HS, A2E film body, Tamzooka (150-600), Tamron 90mm/2.8 VC (ver 2), Tamron 18-270 VC, Canon FD 100 f/4.0 macro, Canon 24-105 f/4L,Canon EF 200 f/2.8LII, Canon 85 f/1.8, Tamron Adaptall 2 90mmf/2.5 Macro, Tokina 11-16, Canon EX-430 flash, Vivitar DF-383 flash, Astro-Tech AT6RC and Celestron NexStar 102 GT telescopes, various other semi-crappy manual lenses and stuff.

I was pleased with what I got. Took me forever to clean up after this though. Fortunately the 7D and 70-200 are very tight so nothing got inside.

Oh they don't just remove the blades. They weld plates to the bottom.

IIRC, there is a professional LM racing series in the UK. Now they take it seriously!
