Thanks for that. The title of the picture is going to be 'Interval' which is both a pun on a musical interval and is also to suggest a break in the playing where the instrumentalist has put down his instrument and glasses.

What if you unfolded the glasses? Might make it look like they were just set down.

Maybe add a touch more DoF to #2 of the repost. That'd do it for me :)

The original shots had the glasses unfolded, and it was commented that they might look better folded up! :)

Maybe that's an indication that people are looking at it and trying to figure out what to do with the glasses - with the title and explanation, I see what you are going for - maybe because I am not very musical, but I wouldn't have gotten it w/o the explanation, or maybe I am just oblivious to most things. :)

IMG NOTICE: [NOT AN IMAGE URL, NOT RENDERED INLINE]

You hit it out of the park with this one, magazine quality, very professional. It's almost hard to believe that the same person took this shot also took the first two.

WOW, great job awesome recovery!

Yeah, I noticed that in the originals. Just thought I'd share my two cents :)

Thank you BigAlz - that's very kind of you. Perhaps I was was concentrating more after the first two (and the comments I received).

Well that shot is just perfect, to me it one of those type of shots you can take out of hundreds and it just grabs you. The pros know how to make every shot that way but us wee folks, like you and I, have to work and struggle at it.

But you nailed it there, great DOF, composure, it just looks like it was shot by a pro in a studio.

Glad you learned something, that why we are all her, to help and share.

Thanks again - did the out of focus spot on the very end of the flute bother you?

Think the keys are more of a doing thing when I think of the picture, the mouthpiece less so as it has less motion, can you tell i;m not a musician, think the re-posts are really good, like the depth in No2

There ain't gonna be enough time to capture all the beautiful thing in the world, but I'm getting them one by one...

Do you mean that it's larger in the frame?

No. It's brighter.

The mouthpiece (embouchure) controls the tone and many flautists practise for hours on that alone, without the keys! Thanks for your kind words about No 2.
