Photo vest for sizable lenses?

I'm trying to figure out the best way to carry my usual body (7D) and lens set (10-22, 24-70, 100-400) on hikes so they are reasonably accessible. I've seen some fly fishing vests with large enough front pockets for the 100-400 (I'd probably keep the camera with "active" lens around my neck). I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has tried something like this or has other suggestions.

We use one that was marketed as a Hummer. Won't see that name on much merchandise these days.
