I have a question for all of you LR pros....

Is there a way I can get a 'pixel count' for the photo being editing in the right menu bar somewhere? When I crop a photo, I want to be able to see the new pixel dimensions in a display somewhere so I can know how much resolution I have left. The only way I know how to check it is to move my mouse pointer over the photo(s) along the bottom....and the auto-popup menu will tell you the pixel dimensions.

I've hunted and hunted for an answer in different LR help menus....and so far I can't find a whiff on this topic.

Thanks!

The crop dimensions show in the Metadata panel in the Library module along with the original image dimensions.

There are two Info overlays, text that is superimposed on the image and which you can cycle through with the I key. You can choose the content of each overlay with View/View Options and if you select Cropped Dimensions the overlay will change to show the new dimensions as you crop.

Toda, Elie!

That's certainly an improvement.

I was still hoping there was some way to get something to appear in the 'crop overlay' window in the right-hand column.

Ideally, I'd like something that would give you the crop dimensions 'on the fly' as you are cropping. DPP has this feature with its 'trim' option, and I'd like to see something like that in LR3.

Yup, it's something that's been high on the 'wish list' since LR1. Why Adobe don't implement it - who knows? I'd really like to be able to enter pixel dimensions for a crop.
