Just sharing some images from my outing to the famous Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, GA. Some people find it weird to shoot this subject matter but, if you ever go into a place like this, take consideration the art that goes into some of the statues and stone work. Enjoy! :)

Look at the eyes of the statue here. It has a glowing look to it. Creepy!

I love these shots. I like cemeteries. I have numerous cemetery shots from several cemeteries in the south (Louisiana, MS, Georgia).

I like them; They remind me of one of my favorite suspenseful films: Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.

Thanks David. :) I remember watching that movie and that famous statue from the movie was removed because visitors kept defacing it. Ater the movie was produced, the statue was removed and is now in a museum. :)

Nice set, Julian. I find it difficult to get "artistic" shots in a cemetery, so settle for a "reportorial" approach. The most interesting shots for me, same as for you I think, are close-ups of the statuary and other markers. I've spent time in lots of cemeteries, including this one, but have no desire to be placed in one.

Thanks Stan. I also found it difficult trying to find an artistic POV with a cemetery such as this but, I did my best. I just wish I had more time here but, my family wanted to leave already. :)

I don't spend that much time in cemeteries but, I too don't want be placed in one myself. I'd rather be creamated. :)
