Took a look at my local forum and saw someone selling his 5D2 with only 5000 actuations with a battery and his Sigma 15mm FE. The boddy was used as a back up for a 1DIII and wanted to sell it for a 1DIV.

I was in the market for buying a full frame, but I wasn't sure it would be the 5D2 or 5D3.

So just for fun, I asked the seller the question how much he would ask for the 5D2 + battery + the sigma lens. In my local store the total set will come to a 2450 euros. The seller send a message back and he said I could have the set for 1700 euros. I was blown away and I made a reservation immediatly!

Sunday I'll drive to him and I'll pickup this body. I'm very excited!

That was a steal. :D

5D2s here in France range from 1500-1900 euros depending on condition. And that's the body only.

Wow! Nice buy. The camera itself is awesome and that's coming form using a 1Ds3 for a few weeks now... I like the 5D2's better for many things (except AF, but AF is very good on the 5DII still).

Lots of congrats. What a great deal. And if the 5D3 has faster fps and better AF, you can sell the 5D2 for what you bought it for, and get the new model.

Yeah, I know. On my local forum 1500-1700 euros was the price for a mint 5D2 with low shutter count. I'm very happy I've got this deal!
