Here are few from 8/25 as it flew over the house. Going to try some close up shots tonight. We'll see how that goes.

I almost missed it. It was my first time looking for it, so didn't know what to look for. I was working to get focus on a star, I thought was the ISS. Heard/saw a plane flying overhead. The noise went away, but the plane didn't. Realized, crap, that's the ISS. Was nearly half past me when I finally started working on a shot. Never got perfect focus, but I at least got the shape. I thought it would be nothing but a dot, so I'm very happy I got to see something.

1200mm(300 + two x 2x TCs), on 1d4. f/11 indicated, so that's like f/22, ISO6400, 1/320th. These are all the bits I have, 100% crop.

Great job! I couldn't get focus set up fast enough and missed it. I was setup for 2032mm ! Ugh.. next time.

Focus was a bear. It was basically just a spec in my viewfinder, and no time to do a liveview fine tune, so all I could do was try and make the spec into a pin-point. Extremely touchy too, like any distant objects, so no way to get it perfect, just luck. I should have bumped the focus ring and fired regular intervals.

Maybe that's my plan for next time, just set it to 10fps, start tracking and firing, while VERY slowly moving the focus ring. Can't hurt for a burst or two, maybe. :)
