YES, YES, YES I've read all the the postings and reviews on ALL UWA and FISH lenses. SO ... I will take the FIRST 50 reply/postings on here to either to tell me i making a good choice or otherwise.

If you need to use filters and need 2.8, you won't be able to find anything better. If not, the Sigma 8-16 is probably a better choice.

A lens made by a company that usually does toy trucks is probably not the best idea. The Tokina is great.

lol, exact same thoughts - i was like, hmmm flashy yellow toy trucks? and yes the tokina 116 is a great UWA, optically wise and built like a tonka! um i mean tank.

i always wonder why people start threads when they already ordered the lens, then ask what they should know about it (or need confirmation that they did the right thing) i mean come on, you probably spent hours and hours gathering information on these forums. In the end it's YOU who will be using the lens, not somebody else.

If you don't need the extra wideness of the 8-16, it's the best choice IMHO.

I've used it, the sigma 10-20, and even e 17-40L on FF amd it's my favorite.

I'm going to refer to my Toki as the Tonka from now on. It's a really fantastic lens.
