artyman Sleepless in Hampshire More info | Aug 26, 2010 03:46 | #245 It was always going to be difficult for Canon to create the right specification so as not to impinge on 7D sales. Not an earth shattering release and I'm still glad I stretched my upgrade to the 7D rather than the 50D or waited for this. Perhaps the only possible attraction is the flip out screen. With SD cards they are obviously targeting Rebel users. Not that I'd mind SD cards in my 7D why are they cheaper that's what I want to know. Art that takes you there. http://www.artyman.co.uk

Is it just going to be a rebel line with a wheel? I'm pretty disappointed by this news. I love my 40D. I love my 5D2. I can't see anything appealing about the 60D except maybe for the articulating screen -- everything else is a downgrade! Craig

I'm not really sure. They always look abit cheesy to me when I've seen them on other makes. It might be handy for those really low macro shots I sometimes take. But, then again I've managed to take them without a swivel screen. I won't be getting the 60D. I've just ordered a 50D to replace the 40D as my 5D2 backup camera. If the XXD line continues along the lines of the 60D then I am done with it Craig
