comparison of size, it is bigger than a 550D, but smaller than the 50D and 7D: http://a.img-dpreview.com …images/compared-front.jpg (external link)

40D and 50D actually were the same, they were measured differently so the 50d has a lower number than the 40d.

but, for 50d users, i don't see too much reasons to upgrade to 60d...

5D3 and a few lens
es.

Awww, that sucks. No CF card use and only 5.3fps? I'll pass.

I think the 7D is the new line for prosumer sports.

Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.

If you read the dpreview preview, they say this is not a 50D succesor. They have basically branched the 50D into the 7D and this 60D. Think of this 60D as the answer to the NIkon D90.

it makes sense. If they had come out with an upgraded 50D with better AF, video, better burst, 18MP, then how would it be different from a 7D?

Oops. Just a few minutes too slow. There's a thread already started on it here...

I'm assuming the mods will merge this soon. Of course, I expect about 2 similar threads on it per day.

And they switched the xxD line to SD cards now...

Sounds like a complete step in the wrong direction, and that this is more of a bridge between the xxxD and the 7d in the crop bodies now..

hmm...

5d MkII it is.

Fully disappointed. Can't even beat the Sony new A55, which is less price.
