... nikon d7000 EU: €599 US: $699 ...

I'm unsure were you are getting your prices, but DPreview has the D7000 priced at US$1499 with kit lens, and I doubt the lens costs $800, so price info may need some waiting?

Rafa.

Yeah, it does. It has "fine tune" which is Nikon's name for autofocus microadjust.

He got the price from Dpreview. They screwed up and then fixed it.

Still no inexpensive GPS interface? [Using the WFT doesn't count] Disappointing.

D7000: No articulated LCD. Booooooooooooooo.

j/k.

Yeah, and if it would have it, it would only be that weird downwards opening (read: useless) screen.

I am still buying 60D :D

Also, i think Nikon's rear layout is really messy compared to 60D .... but thats just my opinion.

Dang, some of you guys have whining issues. If you want the performance of a 7D, get a 7D. If you want or need something slightly better than a Rebel, the 60D is your body. Its a good in between camera (Super Rebel if you will) and probably tons of bang for the buck.

The AF, speed, and build quality of the the 7D are designed for photogs who demand good performance with big action.

The 60D is designed for those who need more performance than a Rebel: more speed, bigger body, better ergonomics. The flip out screen can be useful. If you don't like it, leave it turned out and never touch it. People keep saying the joystick is gone, but Canon relocated it in between the scroll wheel and SET button. Likely, if you don't demand the speed or AF of the 7D, you won't want/need the heavier body or weather sealing.

Instead of crying about model names, just call them Super Rebels and 1D Eaters.
