Adding a guestbook to my website good or bad idea?

I have been playing with the thought of adding a guest book. But what keeps me from doing that is because the high end photographer's aren't doing it. If the idea is so great then high end photographer's would be doing it too. I don't like clutter on websites and so far mine isn't to cluttered. If testimonials on a guest book would help business then I might be more inclined to add it. What are your thoughts?

Don't do it. Guestbooks are generally a thing of the past and people tend to like to hide behind the internet and really let it rip (sometimes, people who you haven't even done business with). Keep it clean and let your photos do the talking.

"Don't deal with P95, he's got no talent and lies. He did not deliver what he promised and was way overpriced. Instead go to Studio Joe." Singed: Studio Joe disguised as a previous client.

Testimonials and a guestbook are really very different beasts. You control the testimonials, your uninvited guests in your guestbook can be rude and won't want to leave. Ton's of advertising will get posted too. My 2 cents.

Just have a little sidebar with your own testimonials.
