A couple more from my trip yesterday, this little squirrel thought it was hiddden from view and the shot of the crab boat in the bay shows how high up we were. The distant chalk cliffs are the "Old Harry Rocks", iconic for this bit of coastline

ontonagondave Senior Member ![]() More info | Looking very seriously at this lens. I think I remember someone saying something about the zoom and focus rings being "switched" from normal. Does this mean the focus ring is closest to the body? I have a Tamron 70-300 (don't get one) in which this is the case and it drives me nuts.

No the parents love it and I do too, but the better people photographers do not.

Taken a couple of weeks ago at the Caw Caw center outside of Charleston. Should have asked one of the caretakers. My first thought was blue heron, but my wife said "no."

However, I was rather surprised that the lens looks more grey than white in real life. Is that the normal color or are there different versions of this lens? My completely outdated Flickr
