Wow, the great shots found on this thread are REALLY tempting me to part with my money and buy this lens.

I am so loving this lens..

Some shots I took yesterday at the Indy 500 Carb Day. Was pretty much overcast all day.

Depends on which 70-200 and whether adding a 1.4 or 2x TC would work for your needs.

I went from the 70-200 f4 non-IS to this. For me, and what I shoot, it was a very good upgrade.

These were taken deep in the jungle, and I was fortunate that the group came to hang out on a tree next to me. The standing still watching them for 20 minutes made me a prime target for all the leeches crawling up my clothes, but I figured there was always a price to pay for an experience like that! To give you an idea of the conditions in the jungle these are taken at iso3200, and yet the lens performs superbly - excellent focus and detail (nothing wrong with the 7D either, contrary to what some say).

Bobobird - I am just about over the 16 hour flight I took a week ago - ambien helps!

I tried a 70-200f4 IS, the 70-200f2.8 IS ll and the 100-400L for a few days with each they all had there plus points but also down sides. The 70-300L however ticked every box for me.

I am as happy as can BEE

Beautiful monkeys drkim. What do you mean by morph?

Yes, these long flights can take some getting over. Strangely I never have jet leg on the reverse trips.

Same kind of monkey, but a different colour. Usually juveniles, I think...

Still loving all these pics! Another one I snapped yesterday below. I was leaning out of the window of my flat in Madrid and this little guy started flying around my head getting really angry. He then landed on a vertical wall about 10 yards away, and I quickly took this snap. Didn't quite get the focus right unfortunately before he flew off, but still quite pleased ...
