so my buddy and I arrive at our location - purported to be a hotspot for bald eagle sightings...

Its overcast and snowing but it was nice to get out...
I've got my camera in one hand and taking a gulp of coffee with my other hand
With mouth full of coffee my buddy suddenly yells "Bald Eagle!"
With my camera hand clumsily track the eagle - mouth full of coffee - and I snap 2 shots of this majestic bird of prey passing us by on the right
"Bald Eagle do you see it?!" ... my mouth still full of coffee and unable to respond
awkwardly but nevertheless snapping a series... one handedly...

took about 8 shots - some good ones with its head hidden behind its wings!
so this major crop was what I could salvage of the encounter...
a lovely winter scene uncropped but to please a few of you, I cropped for a little detail
some of us don't have this type of encounter very often ~
