Hi,

Here I've posted a sequence of photos of a red tailed hawk taking its leave after I had been watching it for awhile.

The location was the Parker River Wildlife Reservation at Plum Island in Massachusetts after fresh snowfall. Suddenly Red Tail
decided to show me how he/she got his name.

Reaches up for power and twists for direction.

Blasts off!

Shows me that tail!

The final exit direction was a bit disappointing from a picture point of view.
