Thanks sth, on the dragon no, yes the 20mm for the grasshopper. He was at most 1 inch long and about .5" tall, but our lens nailed it.
MFD of the lens is just under 4 feet. So yes for closeup it can be pretty good. Not true macro though.

G2 Canon did away with the date codes recently. They still use serial numbers, but I don't think that there are date codes on the new lenses. I really don't understand why, because I always felt like this was an easy way to see how old a lens was when buying used. Maybe they are just trying to get us to stop buying used equipment Just a thought from Daniel
