LJ3Jim Goldmember More info | This young eagle is leaving its perch to eat a fish that it just spotted. It wasn't a challenge for the eagle. The fish it chose was dead and laying on the bank of the river. Image editing ok; C&C always welcome.

I googled, about 8 hours from me....a way lot closer than Homer. Needs not be said the eagle above is breath taking. Mid november until mid December seems to be the time of year with the most eagles and consistent action at the Conowingo dam. Once you are there you can't miss out on where the action is…There will 100+ photogs clicking away.

I was hoping these two shots might follow the one you posted a few days ago. I haven't been fortunate enough to get a "fish catch" yet, but it sure is fun trying! Regards, Jim You are corrected these two shots follow the one I posted a few days ago. Keep trying and hope you will get it soon. Body: 1Dx, 1D MK III, 5D MK III, 5D MK II

LJ3Jim Goldmember More info | I have a question for the photographers that follow this forum. I see that most of you are using a 5D3 or a 1Dx. Compared to a crop-sensor camera, you either need a longer lens or a 60% post-processing crop to get the same image as my 70D. Assuming that you use a crop, do you find that the cropped image from a full-frame sensor retains better Image Quality than the native image from a crop-sensor camera? I used to have a 60D and a 7D, and I wasn't very happy with the IQ of tight crops. I find that my 70D is better, but I don't know how it would compare with a full-frame sensor. The picture below is a 100% crop of the young eagle that I shared yesterday. As you can see, the fine details in the feathers aren't there. Would those details be there with a full-frame camera? Image editing ok; C&C always welcome.
