Something a little different with this lens. Taken at f/2.8, MFD and using a 36mm extension tube, this is new growth at the beginning of February, something I wouldn't expect to see for a few weeks yet. Shows how screwed up the weather is:
New life

And yes…I know this is a photo forum but maybe someone will benefit from this tidbit. Picked up a Canon C100 Cinema Camera to do my video work on and take advantage of the lens collection I have. For grins I took it out to one of our airport photo spots with the 300mm f2.8 II and 500mm f4 II and the autofocus is disabled!! Every other AF lens I have works but apparently Canon must not think anyone would want to shoot aviation or wildlife videos! Stuck the 500mm back on my 1Dx and AF works both in still mode and for video (although not constant but it doesn't do that with any lens.) www.yipdogstudios.com

I think it will length wise, but diameter may be an issue. May have to ask for a new bag around my birthday/graduation ![]() Here's another option if the Lowepro doesn't work for you. I have the Tamrac 5793 that I use with my 300 II. It's long enough that my 300/1D4 combo fits even with the lens hood attached (normal position). Just something to think about. The only thing I don't like with those is how long they are... I know the point of them though is for long tele's... I am more-so looking for a bag just long enough to fit it, but deep enough to have the lens fit with the hood reversed and still close (don't need it to fit with hood on).
