Which one sharper between 200 f2L IS against 300 f2.8L IS II ?

I want to use one of them to shoot portrait, candid, handheld-ly.

Yes the 200L f2 has 5 stop IS, but the 300L II is lighter.

I don't know which one is sharper, but for your portrait purpose, I think 300mm is a bit too long and none of them are "candid" lens.

Yeah I think so, 300mm is not just a bit too long, its much longer than what I need. I was trying on apsc with 70-300 lens at 188mm, I found its too long for me.

I read it from 2 local photography store website, and 5 stop IS is what they wrote in the lens description.

Did you sharpen your pictures? All of them looked sharp, really sharp.

I occasionally use a little bit of edge-sharpening (in Aperture) but it's an incredibly sharp lens - the sharpest according to DxOMark although it probably pains them to say it.
