I still find i use my 300 f2.8 IS L MKII more than my 500 f4 MKII as its just such a vesatile lens and works so well with both TC's.

I'm pleased to contribute to this thread My preference is the 2x TC on the 300mm lens. Light enough to carry round for hours at a time if need be. Not much in the way of good light today but, since I can't get out as often as I'd like, I'll take what I can get:

I wish I had something more epic than cat images though.
(It does seem silly to level this sort of equipment on a stray cat as well, but then, I did photograph a Pretzel Dog with this lens once)

I feel that there are SO MANY mind-blowing images by others in this thread (like the toucan image for a recent instance).
I wish I had something better to offer.

The lens is awesome. It is definitely one of my favorite (physical) things.
