...finally made a decision and got the Tamron 90mm...I`ve been thinking about which lens to buy for weeks so today...I just jumped in with both feet.
So...never used a macro before and quickly realized breathing is a problem...I mean I hold my breath when painting sometimes but this was a whole other level. I see the tripod is going to come in handy...and youse will see it too but hey, first shot and who else am I going to tell?

I have this lens too, I love it. Trust me, if you spend the time to learn it, you will be hooked! Most of these pictures are great. A couple are a bit OOF but that's what you get with the thin DOF on the macro.

The shots are nice. The first one looks a little soft, and maybe needs more light to bring the colors out.

thanks all. took them all about 5 minutes away from our place, this city has a lot of green all around it.
As I said I`ve been going back and forth on which macro lens to get, went back to the biggest place in town to look again and they had this one for about $120.00 more than it was a couple of weeks ago...snagged a staff member as he walked by and pulled out my catalog, showed him the date and the price and asked why...he said just a minute, what mount do you need?...went somewhere and came back and said we`ll let you have it for the cheaper price...cool...as I was paying he pulled out a small Slik tri pod and said it was free...cooler.
I`ll be going back to the same place I`ve been going to take pics recently after work so I hope to be able to find some subjects willing to co-operate. This time I`m bringing a small collapsable tri pod seat I have and either the mono pod or my heavy duty tri pod.
