Well, we were lucky enough to have a power outage last evening that lasted a couple of hours. I took the opp'ty to get a couple of the full moon, and just goofing around with some 30 sec exposures of the sky in various directions. The full moon kinda blew them out a bit (can't have it both ways, I suppose...) but there were some interesting results. I didn't do much other than convert from RAW and resize these guys, but I think I over-sharpened the moon shot a step or two.

I really like the last one. I agree with the moon. I have found that the moon doesn't require a whole lot of post correction. The color is generally off and it usually needs a bit of contrast adjustment.

i like the color of the sky! The moon looks a little out of focus to me. Could just be the oversharpening but im not exactly sure. Nice shots

That 3rd shot is the best by far. Beautiful!

Thanks to All - and I agree, the moon is pretty much a fail there. I'm going out in few minutes and practice some more. The air seems a little clearer than it was last night. Of course, the juice is back on, so you win some, you lose some....
